Weingut Hötzer

Description

The Hötzer winery, a family business, is located in the picturesque Roseldorf, in the north-western Weinviertel, in the Schmidatal on the border to the Retzer Land. It is a mixed operation of viticulture and agriculture. The characterful sites, from primary rock to loess soil, in Roseldorf, Röschitz and Klein Reinprechtsdorf, as well as the dry and Pannonian climate characterize the style of the wines. The diversity of varieties ranges from the typical Grüne Veltliner to Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller and Zweigelt and offers enjoyment for every taste. The organic and small-scale cultivation of the fields with a selected crop rotation forms an excellent basis for biodiverse cultivation. Wheat, spelt, barley, maize, pumpkin, soy, potatoes, camelina, lentils and onions are also available from the farm. The painstaking manual work and the love that goes into every product are clearly visible. The winery's Buschenschank (typical tavern), idyllically situated in the middle of the Roseldorf wine cellar lane and directly on the Weinviertel DAC cycle path, spoils guests with traditional, regional, homemade and innovative dishes.
