For 125 years now, the Hofmann butcher's shop in the "Viertel unter dem Manhartsberg" has been the top address for typical Weinviertel meat specialties. With the best Kranzl-Extra far and wide, the founder of the company - Josef Schrott - was already able to inspire the Weinviertel locals. Even back then, his recipe for success lay in the authenticity of his products. The master butcher only used the best and most natural ingredients to make his products. The Hofmanns have remained true to this attitude to this day. The butcher's shop uses almost exclusively ingredients from regional suppliers, farmers and producers to produce its food.
In order to meet their high quality standards, the animals are only sourced from carefully selected Weinviertel farmers. However, the Hofmanns' company philosophy is not only based on keeping the animals in a species-appropriate manner, but also on slaughtering them with short transportation routes.
Today, as in the past, they are now in their fourth generation of producing honest products in order to make their contribution to natural nutrition.
Even though more and more technology is finding its way into the production processes, one thing remains: the craftsmanship and the traditional recipes with which they produce our typical Weinviertel meat specialties. To ensure that these specialties retain their typical taste right up to your home, the Hofmann butcher's shop produces in a fully air-conditioned facility. A slight overpressure of the filtered air in the individual production rooms guarantees germ-free production. This investment in the company and the continuous development of its production know-how is not an end in itself, but a clear objective: to become the number one producer of high-quality sausage and meat products in the Weinviertel region and beyond.
