die Weinlodge, Weingut Zuschmann-Schöfmann

Description

The Zuschmann-Schöfmann winery, located in Martinsdorf in the eastern Weinviertel, around 20 minutes north of Vienna's city limits, offers an experience in a class of its own. Surrounded by unspoiled nature, guests can enjoy regional delicacies in the estate's own grocery store. The winery, which was originally a mixed farm, has developed into a 16-hectare certified organic farm under the management of Else Zuschmann-Schöfmann and Peter Schöfmann. The focus is on Grüne Veltliner, the traditional variety of the Weinviertel, from which the cheeky wine "Brünnerstrassler" is also made. In addition to fruity to full-bodied single-vineyard wines from the "Muschelkalk vom Plesslberg" and "Löss vom Ralessen" vineyards, the winery is also dedicated to red wines. The vinophile range is rounded off by a mild, mature Zweigelt, an elegant Pinot Noir and a particularly finesse-rich and full-bodied cuvée called "Zerberus". The winery also offers space for events and seminars. The former wine tavern location offers space for around 42 people on two levels and there is a seminar room for around 20 people.
