Description
The Heidbergwarte is a relic from the time when the free world "ended" at the nearby Austrian-Czech border. Many families in the region were separated by the communist isolation. Even if it was only symbolic, the lookout point was a way for many to look into the land of their families at that time. Today, the view is more towards the Pulkau valley and offers an excellent view over the vineyards in the area and, on a clear day, even as far as the Danube and the Czech Republic.
