Description
The Hugl family's Weinviertler Sektmanufaktur is a traditional Weinviertel wine-growing business that has dedicated itself entirely to sparkling wine production. As a result, the wine from 4.5 hectares of vineyards is processed into sparkling wine using the traditional bottle fermentation method - the champagne method - in one of the smallest and finest sparkling wine houses in Austria.
The highlight of the sparkling wine manufactory is the Weinviertler Goldstück - a sparkling wine refined with gold leaf - a cuvée of the varieties Grüne Veltliner and Welschriesling or Zweigelt in the case of the Rose-Goldstück. Riesling, Chardonnay, Neuburger, Muskat Ottonel, Traminer and Sauvignon blanc are also ideal for sparkling wine production.
The basis for the quality are the loess and clay soils, which are located in the Pampich, Schachern and Wirthausäcker vineyards around Stützenhofen. The grapes are produced according to the guidelines of controlled and integrated production in harmony with nature.
The sparkling wine tasting can be rounded off with a short hike or a tractor tour around Stützenhofen through the vineyards.
